My goodness it's green
Green smoothies are full of goodness but they can often taste like fresh grass clippings.
This combo is more like a tropical cocktail just minus the Malibu or white rum (hmmm now there's an idea). If you've been dripping sweat all over the gym floor gulp down one of these for the ultimate refreshing bevy.
Being high in sugar it's a good idea to have a serve of protein [insert chicken salad here] to lower the glycemic response.
The recipe comes from 'Cook. Nourish. Glow' by Amelia Freer. Lick your lips with wild abandon (just maybe not in the gym)!
Recipe: 230g ripe pineapple, flesh of 2 or 3 passion fruit, 70g baby spinach leaves, 250ml coconut water, 1tsp coconut oil & 1/2tsp organic vanilla extract.
If you want to be an over-achiever & plan for tomorrow (don't we all) why not pop all the ingredients for your fav smoothie in a jar. Then grow a beard and be totally hipster about it. Upstairs for thinking! Toss it straight into your fancy blender & et voila.
